The 21st Georgia is a re-enacting group made up of men and women from 8 different states. They portray, using period dress and actions, the soldiers and civilians of the 1861-1865 Civil War era. The unit itself is made up four distinct groups which work both independently and in a unified manner. There is the military, medical, civilian, and musical segments of the 21st.
The 21st Georgia takes part in major re-enactments near actual sites of battle, as well as, smaller re-enactments in various states. The group has done living histories for Antietam National Park, Harpers Ferry, Petersburg and the Gettysburg National Military Park. Individual members are always involved with presentations for service groups and schools throughout our membership area.
